The Panther Voltage Protector is an affordable alternative to AVRs as it protects your appliances from voltage surges or deficiencies. While these surges are nowhere near the intensity of a lightning surge, they can be severe enough to damage your equipment’s components either immediately or gradually
What causes voltage surge and deficiencies?
These voltage surge/deficiencies could be caused by many factors, such as the operation of high-power electrical devices within the vicinity.
Because these high-powered pieces of equipment require a lot of energy to switch on their compressors and motors, they cause a sudden demand for power when turned on. In turn, this upsets the steady voltage flow in the electrical system. When this occurs, your home might experience a brief period of voltage deficiency, followed by a voltage surge once the equipment have “stabilized” and the power comes rushing back into other areas.

2. The Voltage Protector has a built-in 15sec./30sec./3 mins. power-on-delay protection
This means, even if the power comes back on, the voltage protector won’t immediately allow it to rush back into your appliance. How come? During the initial few seconds or minutes after a voltage surge, even if the voltage is within the “acceptable” voltage range, there’s still a lot of voltage fluctuation occurring. As such, the Panther Voltage Protector allows a “grace period,” which you can program based on how long you’d like to wait, to allow the power to stabilize first before reconnecting to your appliance
3. The Voltage Protector provides 900 Joules voltage surge protection for your appliance
Even outside of power outages, sudden voltage surges can occur. For your peace of mind, the Panther Voltage Protector can absorb up to 900 Joules, which provides sufficient voltage surge protection for most appliances. Essentially, before the transient energy can reach and harm your appliance, the Panther Voltage Protector will already absorb it thus preventing it from reaching said appliance.

Who would we recommend the Panther Voltage Protector to?
Keep in mind that the protection the Panther Voltage Protector provides is by cutting off the supply of electricity to your appliance. It does NOT regulate the power supply for your appliance. As such, this is recommended for appliances that can be turned on/off depending on voltage situation
Example: Refrigerator can use the Voltage Protector, since even if your refrigerator is turned off for 10 minutes during the voltage surge, it will remain cool and continue to serve its storage function
Keeping that in mind, the Panther Voltage Protector is NOT suited for you if:
- Your appliance is sensitive to voltage fluctuations. Keep in mind the Panther Voltage Protector does NOT regulate voltage.
- Your appliance is constantly being used and cannot be shut off suddenly even if there’s a voltage surge. Example: Computer, medical devices
- You live in an area that is regularly subjected to high and low voltage fluctuations. While the Voltage Protector will still work for you, this would essentially mean your appliance will regularly turn on and off depending on the voltage situation, which could be annoying for you as a user and could potentially damage the appliance
In the two cases above, you may want to consider purchasing a Panther AVR or Manual Voltage Regulator instead, which regulates the power supply to your appliance, thereby allowing you to continue using your appliances without fear despite ongoing fluctuation

What is the response time to lightning surge (nanoseconds)?
Good day! Please note that the PVP 2500 does NOT provide lightning surge protection. This is because an average lightning strike releases about one billion joules of energy over a fraction of a second. To protect from lightning, you’d need minimum 20,000 joules protection – which would be very expensive, and is not necessarily a full guarantee. As you can see, the PVP 2500 provides a 900 Joules surge protection, which is sufficient for normal surge occurrences.

Can this be used for laptops?
Good day! Yes, you can use this for laptops. Take note that if the voltage goes above or below the acceptable voltage, then the Voltage Protector will automatically stop supplying power to your laptop, and will start supplying again when the voltage situation normalizes.
Regarding pvp 2500 voltage surge protector observation of gound pin this can be remove? If we use plug 3 female socket adaptor for our home wall convenience outlet almost here with two female socket outlet connection only for power supply of two wire which is live line 220V connected to one side of oulet and the other to ground line 0V.system. I see no connection or used. If you have any recommendation please advice.

Good day! We strongly discourage people from removing the ground pin. By removing the grounded pin, you are removing the grounding protection, which works to prevent electrocution and/or fire. If possible, it is better to replace your outlet with grounding, else you can also use an adaptor plug. we hope this helps!
Paano po ioperate ang pvp 3500 gawin yung waiting time ng 3 minutes? Naka 3 seconds lang kasi yung unit.
Good day! On the side of the Voltage Protector, you should move the slider to “3” which is for the 3 minutes time delay. Afterwards, restart the Voltage Protector (turn off, then turn on again) so that the change can take effect. We hope this helps!

Good day! The Panther Voltage Protector doesn’t affect the power consumption of your appliance. Its purpose is really for appliance protection po. Kapag may voltage fluctuation or voltage surge kasi, nakakasira iyon ng appliance. Good day! We would not advise this for your gaming PC as the PVP 2500 will automatically cut off the power supply if the voltage is too high (> 250V AC) or too low (<160V AC). This would disrupt your PC use.
