Why Right Angle L Cord Plugs are better for extension cords

We’re excited to announce that Panther is introducing a new cord plug for our Panther extension cords – namely the Right Angle (L) cord plugs. The reasoning behind this shift is simple. Based on extensive market research and discussions with our customers, we found that Right Angle cord plugs provide greater benefit given how our customers use the Panther extension cords.

What is a Right Angle (L) cord plug?

A Right Angle (L) cord plug is essentially a cord that connects to the plug at a 90-degree angle.

What are the advantages of a Right Angle (L) cord plug vs a Straight Angle (I) cord plug?

Difference of Right Angle L Cord Plugs vs Straight Angle I Cord Plugs

Because of its design, the Right Angle (L) type cord connector typically takes up a narrower space and allows the cord to run along the wall or floor more smoothly.

Not only that, Right Angle (L) cord plugs can also protect people from injury, as there is less chance of a person tripping over a cord hanging in mid-air since a Right Angle cord would run parallel to the wall or the floor.

Last but definitely not the least, the stubbier L-shaped design is less likely to be dislodged when the cord is accidentally tugged.

Why is Panther offering Right Angle (L) cord plug design for its extension cords?

Based on market research, we find that extension cords are normally placed behind furniture or in areas with high foot traffic. This is why we have started to offer extension cords with the Right Angle (L) cord plugs, so that our customers can reap all the benefits this cord plug type can provide.

Panther Extension Cords now use Right Angle L Cord Plugs

Having said that, we also recognize that some customers may still prefer the Straight Angle (I) type cord plugs. As such, we will be maintaining select extension cord models with this design. Customers can also request for made-to-order products with your desired cord plug – simply send us your desired specification through this contact form.

I really want to buy right-angle plug extension cords from your brand. But how? They are not available in the malls I’ve been to.

    re: 3rd prong
I want the right angle plug but I noticed that it has 3 prongs and my sockets are not. What to do without changing my sockets.

Also, do you charge extra for special orders? (length/shorter and longer) socket variations.
    thanks
