As a trusted AVR manufacturer and AVR supplier in the Philippines, all Panther products undergo strict testing in accordance with applicable standards. In addition to standard tests, our quality control system continually checks the materials and workmanship of our products. Therefore, we can assure you that all our products are of the highest quality and reliability.

Having said that, to prolong the life of your AVR, we urge you to take note of the following precautions:

  1. Do not overload the AVR, check rated capacity of the AVR against the appliances’ MAXIMUM power consumption
  2. When fuse is busted, find the cause (typically due to overload) and make sure to replace it with the same rated fuse
  3. Do not install in a location that is subject to excessive vibrations or has risk of electric shock
  4. Do not place the AVR on a heated surface, near flames, sparks or in direct sunlight
  5. Do not use near water or where unit will be exposed to extreme moisture
  6. This AVR is NOT a lightning arrester and will not protect your appliance from lightning induced voltage surges
  7. Do not open the unit. There are no user serviceable parts inside.

In case you encounter any issues (such a constant occurrence of tripping or continuous clicking sounds), please feel free to contact us directly and bring in your unit for servicing / calibration as part of Panther’s LIFETIME SERVICE WARRANTY program

I have a Panther 500w relay type. I noticed that our Electricity goes up and down ranging 160 min to 200 max. My avr rates 180 to 220.

What happens to my avr if the input goes below its capacity?

Good day, please note that for the PVE 500 – the input voltage range is from 180V to 250V AC. To answer your question, if the actual input goes below the rated input voltage range of the AVR, the AVR will not be able to bring it up to the desired 220V. Example: at 160V (because it is below the allowable input voltage range), the AVR may only be able to bring up the voltage to <200V.
In case you want an AVR that has a wider input voltage range, you can consider our PVR 500 which allows for 150V AC to 250V AC input voltage range: https://panther.ph/product/pvr-500-relay-type-avr/
      We hope this helps!

I use the avr for my pc. Should I also turn off the avr when I turn off my pc? (Example would be when Im about to sleep already)

Good day! Yes, we do recommend that you turn off the AVR after you’ve turned off your PC. This would help prolong the life of your AVR and also save some electricity.

Good day! Yes, safe to have it on 24/7. What do you mean by “is it safe to put a rug where I place it”? Do you mean ang AVR ipapatong ninyo sa rug? Kindly just make sure that the AVR is placed in a well-ventilated area. We hope this helps!

Where should I put my AVR for my PC? I’ve had it on top of my PC for some time now

Good day! Ideally, you should be placing your AVR on a solid surface level, where there is sufficient air flow. We hope this helps!

Hi, i just bought Panther AVr 1000d for my ref. Is it safe to use continously , without unplugging just like the ref? Is it normal b na na tumutunog tsaka mainit?

Good day! Yes, the AVR is safe to use continuously with your refrigerator – no need to unplug. To your question:
      – Clicking/Whirring sound: Every time you hear a click (relay-type AVR) or a whir (servo-motor type AVR), that’s the sound the AVR makes when it’s regulating the voltage supply. So if you hear “noise” from your AVR, it simply means it’s doing its job well and your appliance is being protected from an instance of voltage surge/fluctuation. However, if the sound is continuous/nonstop, please contact us so we can provide an assessment on the item
      – Heat: The AVR is expected to heat up because the transformer inside is working. As long as you can touch the AVR, even if the heat is a bit uncomfortable, then that is normal.

      We hope this helps!

    Hi,

I would like to know if it is okay if I plug my appliances to my PVE – 1000 through an extension cord?

    Reply
    • Panther Support

Good day! Do you mean it will be plugged in this manner: appliance > extension cord > PVE 1000? That should be fine. Just take note that whatever you plug into the extension cord should not exceed the maximum 1000 Watts capacity of the AVR. We hope this helps!

Good day, Shiela! Sorry to hear about your experience po. Possible that the clicking sound is normal – dahil ito ang tunog when the AVR is regulating the voltage, so baka marami fluctuation area ninyo kapag gabi. But for us to better check and provide a definitive answer, please contact our customer care representative, Mr. Mark Medina at +639989543316 (call/viber). You may send your video on our FB page (Panther Electrical Industries). Thank you!
