As part of our commitment to provide best quality AND affordable products to Filipino consumers, Panther is excited to announce the launch of our newest product: Panther Voltage Protector 3500 Watts (PVP – 3500), a more affordable alternative to protect high-powered appliances such as aircon from voltage irregularities, voltage surges, voltage deficits.

How does the Panther Voltage Protector work?

The Panther Voltage Protector protects appliances from significant voltage surge and deficiencies through instantaneous AC voltage variation detection:

  • Automatic electricity connection cut-off, if input AC voltage is too high (>250 VAC) or too low (<160 VAC)
  • Automatic electricity re-connection once input AC voltage has normalized
  • Built-in 15 sec./30 sec./3 mins. power-on-delay protection, which protects appliances from voltage surge post-power outage
  • Built-in voltage surge protection at 900 Joules, which protects appliances from voltage spikes and surge
  • Portable size allows you to bring the Voltage Protector with you so you can ensure your appliances are well-protected regardless of where you go

What’s the difference between PVP 3500 (new product) vs PVP 2500?

There are two key differences between PVP 3500 and PVP 2500, as the PVP 3500 is designed based on customer feedback:

  • PVP 3500 has a higher maximum power load of 3750 Watts, versus the 2500 Watts capacity of PVP 2500. As such, it is capable of protecting high-powered appliances such as aircon, so long as their power consumption is within the allowable load
  • The PVP 3500 has an aircon outlet type, perfect for air conditioners as you no longer need an adapter to plug it in

Do I need a Voltage Protector or an Automatic Voltage Regulator (AVR)?

The Panther Voltage Protector is meant to be a cheaper alternative to AVRs, by protecting your appliance from voltage surge or deficiencies that can cause severe damage to your equipment’s components. It is able to do so by CUTTING OFF the power supply to your appliance in the event of too high or too low voltage. Reminder: Unlike AVRs, it does NOT regulate the voltage for your appliance. As such, we recommend you use a Panther Voltage Protector if you meet the following conditions:

  • Appliance can be turned on/off instantly with no warning. Example: Aircon and Refrigerators can be shut down for 10 minutes in case of voltage surge/deficiency without issue
  • The area you live in has relatively stable power supply, but you simply wish for additional protection in case of sudden voltage irregularities. Note: If your area frequently encounters voltage fluctuations, you may be better off with an AVR as AVRs provide 24/7 protection for your appliance as you use it

I’d like to get several of these. But can you advise if this will work on a 1HP Invertor or Non-Inverter AC which uses a max of 950W of power?

Good day! Yes, this should work for a 1HP Inverter/Non-Inverter AC with max 950W power. Just kindly make sure that your AC’s plug is compatible with the PVP 3500 socket. 🙂 Thank you!

Pwede ba ang PV3500 Voltage protector sa 1 or 1.5hp non inverter aircon? Pag nag fluctuate ba ang electricity mag off ba ang aircon ? Do i need to turn it on again?

Good day! Yes, the PVP 3500 would suffice for the 1 or 1.5HP non-inverter aircon. If magfluctuate ang electricity above or below the acceptable voltage range (160V AC to 250V AC), then it will automatically stop supplying electricity to your aircon (aircon will turn off). Once voltage resumes within the acceptable voltage range, power supply to your aircon will resume (aircon should turn on – this is the case for most aircons, but certain aircon models may be different)

Pwede b ang PVP 3500 s 2 hp inverter aircon? Thanks!

Good day! Kindly check with your aircon supplier if sufficient ang 3750 Watts na Voltage Protector for your aircon. Traditionally, 2 HP would equal to ~4500 Watts power consumption at startup, but since inverter type ang aircon ninyo, possible na mas energy efficient siya, so kindly check with the supplier/manufacturer directly to be sure. We hope this helps!

Good day. I purchased a PVP 3500 and it stops the ac with no brownout, but wont turn on for more than 15mins. Could the electricity power rise up to more than 250volts for more than 15mins? I decided to just remove the PVP 3500 and the ac work fine. Where can I have this product checked?

Good day! Yes, it’s possible that the power voltage in your area stays above 250V or below 160V for more than 15 minutes. A quick way to check this is through a multimeter or a voltmeter. Alternatively, you can bring your PVP 3500 for checking to our Panther Service Center: https://panther.ph/panther-ecq-service-center/

Hello, I am using a 1.0 hp window type inverter aircon. Thank you in advance for answering.

Good day! Kahit turn off niyo nalang po ang PVP 3500 na switch. The safest delay would be 3 minutes, as that should be more than sufficient time for the voltage surge to pass after a power outage. We hope this helps!

Good day, question lang po,if ever po kapag naka turn off ang aircon ,naka plug in and naka stand by mode lang yung PVP 3500,ilan po ang na consume nito na wattage?
    Wala po kasi sa specs.
    3500 pa rin po ba?

Good day! If naka-off po ang aircon, the PVP 3500 will not consume wattage. We hope this helps!

Good day! When you plug in the PVP, it will auto-on. However, if you want to keep it plugged but turned off, you can press the OFF button to turn it off. Then when you want to use it already, just press the ON button to turn it on.
