Just bought pbc 6a in handyman zabarte mall I have a Motolite 12v battery when connected red to positive red to nega press on with red light nothing happened at all the dial arm hand didn’t move at all

Good day! I have the same problem encountered by Steve. When I tried to measure the output voltage, the output reading was almost 19v. And I don’t have any clue if its charging when connected to any 12v motorcycle battery. Could you please help me with this on, how to fix our PBC 6A: Panther Battery Charger 6A.

Good day! A 19V reading sounds right. To determine if the battery is charging, you should see the ammeter reading gradually going down. Once it is steady and is no longer going down, that’s the indication that the battery is fully charged.

Hi, my pbc-6a is still new but amp needle doesn’t move anymore. Checked voltage output while connected to a 7 amp motorcycle battery reading was 15.6 volts. Before connecting to charger battery voltage was 9+ volts.
Is the output voltage higher than normal? Is the ammeter defective. And do you have available ammeter?

Our initial assessment is as follows, based on your situation description:
– It’s possible that the battery you are charging is defective. You mentioned that the battery voltage (prior to connecting to the battery charger) was at 9+ volts. This seems abnormally low, as we would typically expect the battery voltage to be around 11v-12v.
– The 15.6v reading is considered normal output voltage when connected to the battery charger
– Suggested plan:
a) Could you kindly test the PBC 6A with a 12V battery to test if the ammeter is indeed broken, or if it was not reading due to a defective battery?
b) Please check and make sure your toggle switch is pointed to the right mode (6V vs 12V)

Hi, thanks for your valued reply. I tested my charger again as you suggested; you’re correct, the battery is the one defective. I never imagined how good is your chargeris- it doesn’t register any output amp when the battery is defective, and I didn’t know that the voltage could be as high as 29 volts (i tested for voltage) when not connected to a battery that’s why I thought the charger was defective. But you could have included these “notes” in the manual.
So everything is ok with my charger. I tested it on my pickup’s battery and it’s working perfectly! Thanks again.

Good day! For your 9AH battery, it will take ~1.5 hours for the PBC 6A to charge, if the battery was fully dead. When the approximate charging time has been reached, look at the ammeter pointer. If the ammeter pointer has not moved for some time, then the battery is now fully charged. We hope this helps!

Good day! You will need to charge for around ~25 hours if your 12V 150AH battery is fully depleted. Make sure your voltage selector switch is on 12V. We hope this helps!
