Product Details

The Panther Automatic Voltage Regulator provides necessary protection for your appliances against voltage fluctuation. This allows your electronic equipment and appliances to perform better and last longer.

With a built-in transformer, the Panther PVR series provides great value for money since not only does it protect your appliance from voltage fluctuations, but it is also able to convert the input voltage of 220V AC into the required voltage requirements of your appliance (100V AC, 110V AC, 220V AC) without needing to purchase a separate transformer.

This product is suitable for general household and office appliances.

Additional Warning / Disclaimer

Please consult  your equipment supplier and/or Panther to determine the appropriate product capacity you should purchase for your equipment. This is to avoid overload.

In case you have specific requirements, please inform us of your required specifications so we can provide a made-to-order quotation for you

What is the difference between PVR and PVS?

    • panther admin

Good day! Thanks for asking! The PVR is a relay type AVR, while the PVS is a servo motor type AVR. They use different technology to regulate the voltage. Relay type uses an electronic circuit and a set of relays to regulate, hence it’s cheaper, but also not as accurate (+/-7%) and responds slower (within 1 second) in regulating. On the other hand, servo motor type uses a servo motor so it’s more expensive, but also very accurate (+/-1%) and responds within milliseconds when regulating. So, it all depends on your needs! For less sensitive appliances (e.g. TV, refrigerator), a relay type AVR is more than sufficient. However, for sensitive devices such as medical equipment, then the servo motor type AVR would be better.
By the way, for relay type AVR, we also have two kinds: PVE and PVR. PVE would be cheaper as it’s a pure relay type AVR, whereas PVR is more expensive compared to PVE as it has a built-in transformer in case your appliance requires 100V or 110V output.

To learn more, you can check out this article: https://panther.ph/difference-between-servo-motor-type-avr-and-relay-type-avr/
I’m also linking the PVE series here as well in case you’re interested in relay type AVR only: https://panther.ph/product-category/appliance-protection/automatic-voltage-regulator/pve-relay-type/

      We hope this helps!
