Product Details

The Panther Automatic Voltage Regulator provides necessary protection for your appliances against voltage fluctuation. This allows your electronic equipment and appliances to perform better and last longer. The PVS series is good when used for appliances with different voltage requirements (100V AC, 110V AC, 220V AC)

This product is suitable for sensitive equipment such as medical and dental equipments. Note that response time is faster compared to relay type AVRs, which is the requirement for sensitive equipments

Additional Warning / Disclaimer

Please consult your equipment supplier and/or Panther to determine the appropriate product capacity you should purchase for your equipment. This is to avoid overload.

In case you have specific requirements, please inform us of your required specifications so we can provide a made-to-order quotation for you

I have a 100w rated fridge. It’s a 8.3 cubic-foot Samsung Inverter-type Refrigerator. What type of AVR should I use to protect the appliance? Servo or relay type? What wattage rating do I use? I will only be using this AVR for the fridge, and no other appliance will be plugged in.

    • Panther Support

      Good day!
      1) We would recommend a relay type AVR, as refrigerator is not a very sensitive appliance
      2) We would suggest a 500 Watts AVR
      3) Given the above suggestions, we would recommend you purchase the PVE 500D (a 500W relay type AVR w/ power on delay protection): https://panther.ph/product/pve-500-d-relay-type-avr/

We just bought 120W rated Samsung 15.6 cubic ft refrigerator. What are your recommended AVR specs? May I know the rule of thumb when computing appropriate wattage or VA for an AVR? Should it be times 5 the current appliance wattage?

  3. Marlon

The rated current is 2.0A, With a rated power input of 120W of Samsung digital inverter refrigerator, how much wattage of AVR should I buy?

  4. Marlon

We had an existing Panther PVR 1000. Can I use it instead for our new rated current 2.0A, rated power input 120W Samsung digital inverter refrigerator?

    • Panther Support

Good day! If your refrigerator’s rated current is 2.0A, at its max. power (during startup), you would expect it to use up to ~6A (~1320 Watts at 220V AC).
However, there is a possibility that your refrigerator is more energy efficient since it’s a digital inverter-type. If so, you can check with your refrigerator supplier/manufacturer if a 1000 Watts AVR is sufficient for your needs. If it’s sufficient, then you can definitely use the Panther PVR 1000.

I have Marantz integrated amplifier with 100V AC and 355 W ratings. What AVR transformer (relary o servo) should I buy? Thank you
