The PVE 1000 D has a 2-prong outlet, yet it has 3-prong with ground outlets. How is this grounded internally to allow devices with 3 prong to operate safely?

    • Panther Support

Good day, thank you for your question. All our AVRs have case grounding, as appliances plugged into the 3-prong outlet are connected internally to the grounding terminal of the AVR.

We hope this answers your question! Feel free to message us directly if you have other questions: https://panther.ph/message-us/

Will UPS serves as an avr? Is it adviseable for refrigerators? Is it ok if i buy the 1500 v not minding that i only have the smaller type of ref?? Planning to connect 2 appliace on that one… 0lease advise

    • Panther Support

Good day, it depends on your UPS. Line Interactive UPS and Online UPS would have built-in AVRs. Panther UPS are all line-interactive, and would also act as an AVR : https://panther.ph/product-category/appliance-protection/uninterruptible-power-supply-ups/
For refrigerators, an AVR would suffice as they don’t necessarily require the UPS function of keeping the power on during an outage.
To determine the exact capacity you need to purchase, you have to check your refrigerator specifications first and calculate based on that. Please see link for step-by-step instructions on how to calculate for required capacity: https://panther.ph/how-to-calculate-appliance-capacity-requirements/ Alternatively, you can send us your refrigerator specs and we can provide a recommendation.

Can i use this with my Computer using 600 watts power supply & a 22 inc LED monitor ?

    Thanksss

    • Panther Support

Good day! Yes, this should be sufficient provided your LED monitor’s power supply is less than 230 Watts. Hope this helps!

Hi! I just recently bought this and I use it on my gaming pc and monitor. My question is – is it okay to leave the AVR on while the pc and monitor is turned off? I’m just concerned at the longevity of the device. Thanks!

    • Panther Support

Good day! We recommend turning the AVR off if the plugged in appliances are turned off as well. This is because the AVR will continue to consume electricity (though minimal) and will continue to regulate the voltage (which will use up the consumable relay part) even as the plugged in appliance is turned off. Hope this helps!

Good day, I have a PC that consumes around 470W of power and my Power supply is rated for 650W for headroom. Whenever an electric fan gets plugged in, my monitor turns off and on for a second. I’m guessing that’s because of Power sag. Will this AVR help with my issue?

    • Panther Support

Good day! Yes, the cause of the monitor turning on/off could be due to power sag. If that’s the case, then an AVR would help. If you have an existing AVR at your home, you could try testing it in this setup to troubleshoot if power sag is really the cause of your issue first. We hope this helps!

Unfortunately I don’t have an AVR at home, but I’m already planning on buying an AVR. However, I don’t know if I should get a 1000W or 1500W. I’ll be plugging in:
    -PC that uses 470W
    -Two monitors that uses 26W
Will the PVE 1000D be enough for these?

    • Panther Support

Good day! Yes, given the power consumption of your PC and two monitors, a PVE 1000D should suffice for your needs.

  8. Charlimen P Astrologo

I have 1 chest freezer and a 7 cubic refrigerator at home. what AVR would i need ? planning to buy 1500w for 2 appliances. Does it suffice the need to regulate the current electrical fluctuation?
please recommend me specific AVR. Thank you.

    • Panther Support

Good day! The AVR will depend on the power consumption of your chest freezer and refrigerator, as that will determine the AVR capacity requirement. Kindly let us know the watts/amps consumption of each so that we can provide an AVR recommendation.

  9. Tim Garcia

Does this have to be directly plugged to the wall outlet or can I plug in through a panther PSP-1102 extension cord with surge protector?

    • Panther Support

Good day! You can definitely plug in to the PSP 1102 🙂 However, kindly make sure that the total power consumption of appliances plugged into the PSP 1102 does NOT exceed its 2500 Watts Max Capacity. Thank you!

Hello i wonder if what i need for my computer. My gaming computer using 650 watts power supply. Should i get this 220v only or a 110v?

    • Panther Support

Good day! It would depend on the voltage requirement of your gaming computer. If you’re computer uses 220V, then you should purchase the PVE AVR series.
Kindly note that for gaming computers, please also take into account the power consumption of peripheral accessories you may also be plugging in, e.g. speakers, monitors, etc.

  11. Matt Tyrone G De Leon

Hello to be specific here is my power supply can you please check it for me SEASONIC FOCUX GX 650 GOLD. Im using 144hz monitor 1080p. In future i want to use dual monitor. I just want to be specific and sure if this is the correct item for me

    • Panther Support

Good day, a typical monitor consumes around 20 Watts. If you’re planning to plug in this Power Supply Unit + two monitors only, then a PVE 1000 D should suffice. We hope this helps!

  12. Lee Marwin Gregorio

Good day! I do have AVR on my refrigerator. Is it okay to use both AVR and power on delay? Refrigerator-AVR-Panther Power on delay-wall outlet? Is it okay to use the refrigerator connected that way? Thank you for your response😊

    • Panther Support

Good day! Yes, that’s fine. Kindly make sure the AVR and Power on Delay capacity are all sufficient for your refrigerator requirements.

  13. Erwin

Hi! How much will be the total power consumption of appliances + AVR? at least estimate.
Plan to buy for 1 Desktop Pc(400-500watts) and another for small refrigerator(70 Watts), but not sure how much electricity it will add specially ref is plugged 24/7.

    • Panther Support

Good day! The AVR’s power consumption is extremely minimal as the power just passes through the AVR to the appliance. As such, the overall power consumption will pretty much simply be the power consumption of your Desktop and Refrigerator. We hope this helps!

  14. Matt Tyrone De Leon

i have PVE1000D AVR. i just want to ask if its ok to plug it to a extension with surge protector?what’s the best to do? wall power socket-extension with power surge protector- PVE1000D AVR(supplying a pc setup) or wall power socket- PVE1000D AVR-extension with power surge protector? Thanks for your attention. I’m looking forward to your reply.

    • Panther Support

Good day! We would recommend a setup as follows:
Wall power socket > Extension cord with power surge protector > PVE 1000D AVR > PC set up.
      We hope this helps!

  15. Jeff

Can I use this for a pc with dual monitor setup, my pc is rated for atleast 353 load wattage

    • Panther Support

Good day! Please check the max power consumption of the PC, and add the power consumption of the dual monitor. If the total multiplied by 1.2 (taking into account voltage fluctuation) does not exceed 1000 Watts, then you can use the PVE 1000 D. We hope this helps!

  16. Andy

What is the working temp of PVE 1000D? Is it normal to warm up a bit under normal use? Just bought one for a 250 watts inverter. The AVR is warm to the touch at around 40 to 42 deg C.

    • Panther Support

Good day! Yes, it is normal for the PVE 1000D to warm a bit under normal use, as the transformer inside generates heat. As long as you can still touch the AVR with your hands, it would be considered normal. Kindly make sure there is air circulation where you place the AVR as well. We hope this helps!

  17. Troy

Hi, I have a PVE 1001-D and the output voltage display is not working properly. It is just flickering with all the lines lighting up so I cannot determine the correct voltage that it is displaying. Sometimes it would display properly but the reading is around 255-260 volts. Could there be a problem with the AVR?

    • Panther Support

Good day! Do you mind taking a video and sending it to us so we can conduct an initial assessment: wecare.panther@gmail.com
Note that the PVE AVR is relay-type so it’s possible that the reading shows 255-260 volts for a split second, before the relay kicks in to regulate the voltage down.
We hope this helps! If you have any other questions, please let us know and we’d be happy to answer them!

  18. Tofe

Hi! ask ko lang if normal lang ba na nag ooutput sya ng 240+ volts madalas? mga 10-20 secs before bumalik ng 220+ volts

    • Panther Support

Good day! Due to the input voltage fluctuations, It’s normal for the output voltage to be that high for a few seconds as your AVR uses relay-type technology, but what’s important is that the AVR is able to regulate it right away in order to protect your appliance from long-term damage. We hope this helps!

  19. Mito

My avr of this model output 220-225 before. After 5 months of use it’s outputting 250 constant. Is my avr faulty?

  20. Eternia

Is it okay to plug this AVR on a Voltage Surge Protector extension cord (Like the panther surge protector PSP-0818)?

    • panther admin

Good day! Yes, that’s alright! Kindly just make sure that the total power consumption of all appliances plugged into the Voltage Surge Protector does not exceeds its max 2500 Watts capacity. We hope this helps!

  21. Jerome

Hi Just buy PVE – 1001 D buy the problem the output is only 2012V.

    • panther admin

Good day! The PVE is a relay-type AVR, which means there are set tripping points (when the input voltage reaches a certain point, the relay will trip and bring up the output voltage). This would make 212V a possible output of the AVR. For further explanation, please feel free to reach out to us on Facebook. We hope this helps!

  22. Jayki Pol

Hi, i was just wondering what’s wrong with my newly purchased 1001 D because it seems like it is only producing 2015-2017v. I am concern if it is factory defect because i also observed that it heats up very quickly. Please do answer my query thanks a lot.

    • panther admin

Good day Jayki! Did you mean 215-217V? If YES, it’s normal and within range. For our relay type AVRs, the output voltage is 220V +/- 7% depending on the actual input voltage supply from your wall outlet. The response time is within 1 second against 7% input deviation. Also it is normal to warm a bit under normal use, as the transformer inside generates heat. As long as you can still touch the AVR with your hands, it would be considered normal. Kindly make sure there is air circulation where you place the AVR as well. We hope this helps!

  23. Tirso Ramos

Ask lng po, bkit hindi stable sa 220v ang output ng nabili kong avr PVE-1001D
210v-217v lang, normal lng po ba ito at hindi ba masisira ang appliance ko?

    • panther admin

Good day Tirso! Yes, it’s normal and within range po. For our relay type AVRs, the output voltage is 220V +/- 7% depending on the actual input voltage supply from your wall outlet. The response time is within 1 second against 7% input deviation. Hope it helps.
