I also have a automatic voltage regulator PV-1000.
But now the voltage meter don’t works…..I can’t find this item and the 7 A Fuse /20 mm, 10 pieces) in stores.
Can you send me this items (voltage meter and fuses) to: Manuel R. Bernhard, Upper Talaytay, 6021 ARGAO Cebu and please give me instruction for to do the payment.
    Thank you
    sincerly Manuel Bernhard

    • Panther Support

Good day Sir! Just to check – are both the voltage meter AND fuse not working? If so, we suggest you replace the 7A Fuse first, as a busted fuse could be the reason why the voltage meter isn’t registering any changes. If you are unable to find these items in Cebu, we can sell you the items. However, we can only do so post-ECQ (COVID Quarantine) as NCR is currently under lockdown.

To ensure we serve you to the best of our ability and allow us to contact you directly, could you submit your requirements via our contact form: https://panther.ph/message-us/
      Thank you!

Good day! I have a panther PVE-1000 unit and just today I have begun to notice the sounf of buzzing coming from the AVR. The meter is also no longer working, but personally that is negligible for me. One time before shutting down it did give me a little ground/shock when I touched the head of the device. The next time I turned it on, I was no longer shocked, though, but the buzzing sound still persists

    • Panther Support

Good day! Given the circumstances described, we recommend you bring your AVR for diagnosis at our Service Center. This is FREE OF CHARGE under the Panther Lifetime SERVICE Warranty. Hi,

Can I use PVE 1000 on a SAMSUNG Digital inverter refrigerator Model is RT20FARVDSA?
    Rated Voltage: 220V
    Rated Frequency: 60hz
    Rated Power Input: 100W
    Rated Current: 1.6A
    Defrost Input: 110W

    • Panther Support

Good day, given the refrigerator specification provided, we would recommend you use PVE 1500 D instead. This allows for sufficient startup motor power consumption buffer, as well as provides power-on-delay protection, to protect your refrigerator from post-brownout voltage surge.
      Link to PVE 1500 D: https://panther.ph/product/pve-1500-d-relay-type-avr/
We hope this helps in your decision making!

    *Correction
    Rated Voltage: 230V

  7. Bam Romuar

Can the PVE-1000 be used for our Whirlpool refrigerator? Specs are as follows: Rated Voltage: 220-240 V; Rated Power: 125W; Rated Frequency: 60Hz; Defrost Power: 180W

    • Panther Support

Good day, based on the wattage – seems like PVE 1000 will suffice. However, to be 100% sure, please check and make sure the Amps is 1.4A or below. If it’s above 1.4A, we would recommend PVE 1500 D instead: https://panther.ph/product/pve-1500-d-relay-type-avr/
Please note that PVE 1000 does NOT have power-on-delay protection which protects the refrigerator from voltage surge post-outage. We highly encourage that refrigerator AVRs should have power-on-delay as refs are particularly susceptible to voltage surge damage post-outage. Here’s the link to PVE 1000 D: https://panther.ph/product/pve-1000-d-relay-type-avr/
      We hope this helps!

  8. Carlson Valenicia

What AVR would you recommend for Gaming Computer Running at 650watts? I heard that PVE models are better for Gaming PC’s since mas mabilis timing and +-% sa output. Or should I buy the servo? Thanks!

    • Panther Support

Good day, if you will only be plugging in a 650 watts gaming computer, we would suggest PVE 1000 D: https://panther.ph/product/pve-1000-d-relay-type-avr/
Relay type AVR is sufficient for a gaming computer given speed of voltage regulation, and voltage regulation precision.
We hope this answers your question!

  9. martin

Hi i just buy it today. I have question it is ok to not unplug while have power iterruptions or brownout? The appliances will be safe?

    • Panther Support

Good day, if you purchased the AVR with power on delay (ex. PVE 1000 D) then you can definitely keep the appliances plugged in even during power interruption/brownout as the power on delay will provide protection from post-outage voltage surge. For PVE 1000, there is no power on delay protection BUT there is fuse overload protection. So if there is voltage surge, the fuse will likely be busted so as to prevent damage to the AVR and appliance. When that happens, simply replace the fuse and you can start using the AVR again. However, if you wish to be 100% safe, you can opt to switch off the AVR when power outages occur. We hope this helps.

  10. marc

    Hi,

The voltage meter is mid way between 0 and 50. I have a multimeter and from the socket it shows around 237. On the AVR it shows around 237. Should I bring it in for repairs?

    • Panther Support

Good day! Yes, based on the circumstance shared, we would recommend you bring in your AVR for a diagnostic check and repair. You can find the step-by-step process to avail of the Lifetime Service Warranty here: https://panther.ph/panther-ecq-service-center/

  11. Hermeraldo Jr Catubig

Good am. Sir what ave is good for photocopier: 230v, 6.3A, 50-60Hz? Thanks

  12. Carl

Hello po, is my acer nitro 5 laptop 125v – 7A compatible with PVE 1000. i just feel uncomfortable and concerned because the avr is getting hotter for like using it for 3-4 hours. i’m just really concerned about my avr so let me know if it’ s normal thanks

    • Panther Support

Good day! Yes, the PVE 1000 should be compatible with your Acer Laptop. It is normal for AVRs to heat up as the transformer inside is working. As long as you can hold the AVR in your hands, even if the heat is a bit uncomfortable, then that is perfectly normal. We hope this helps!

  13. Oliver Clint Alfonso

Hi i have a PVE 1000watts avr and i plug in inverter aircon 1HP and 1ref samsung inverter it is compatible for the pve 1000watts?

    • Panther Support

Good day! A 1000 Watts AVR is definitely not sufficient if you’re planning to plug in a 1HP aircon and refrigerator into it. For the aircon alone, you would need a ~2500 Watts AVR already, unless the manufacturer/supplier specified a lower rating AVR is sufficient (given efficient power consumption design). For the refrigerator, we can recommend an AVR depending on your refrigerator’s power consumption details (in amps/watts, volts).
      We hope this helps!

  14. Jerol paul abuyot

Good day. Ano po recommended niyo na AVR for this product:
Panasonic 9cu.ft inverter no frost ref.
    Rated power input: 75w
    Rated voltage: 230 V
    Rated current: 1.20 A
    Energy consumption: 0.71 kWh/24hr..
And gaano po kahaba yun cord ng avr kasi medyo mataas yun outlet namin sa kusina. Thank you.

    • Panther Support

Good day! We would recommend the PVE 1000 D (https://panther.ph/product/pve-1000-d-relay-type-avr/) as the AVR for your refrigerator.
1.2m po ang haba ng AVR cord ng PVE 1000 D. You may use an extension cord to increase the reach of the AVR, or you may have a made-to-order AVR made with your desired cord length. Note that made-to-order items have a lead time. We hope this helps!

I have a Panther PVE-1000 bought from Handyman. Its 3 years old IIRC and I already lost the receipt. The output voltage meter stopped working some time ago. Can I still avail of the warranty?

And another question, I’m using it on a computer pulling around 400-450 watts from the wall. Is that ok?

    • Panther Support

Good day! Yes, you can still avail of the Lifetime Service Warranty even without a receipt. Please see link for details: http://panther.ph/lifetime-service-warranty
A PVE 1000 is sufficient for a computer with a ~400-450 Watts power consumption.
      We hope this helps!

  16. Robbie Ron

Good day. Can this be use for Computers with a Power Supply of 550W?

    • Panther Support

Good day! Yes, this can work with a computer that consumes 550W power. We hope this helps!

  17. Mark

Hi I accidentally bought the PVE 1000 Instead of the PVE 1000 D. I use a 650 Watts power supply and a 23.6 inch desktop monitor. Is it fine?

    • Panther Support

Good day! Yes, that’s fine since you’ll be using it for your desktop computer. Power on Delay is required for appliances that will automatically turn on (e.g. refrigerator, aircon), on its own, post power outage hence making them susceptible to damage caused by power surges. Since a desktop computer will remain off post-power outage, that should be fine. Just make sure you don’t immediately turn it on when the power comes back post-outage. Instead, wait ~3 minutes before turning the computer on again. We hope this helps!

  18. Herminia Manimtim

I just bought a panther model PVE 1000. It has a bypass button. What is the bypass function for?

    • Panther Support

Good day! If your AVR has a bypass option, then you have an AVR with power on delay. The power on delay protects your appliance from post-outage voltage surge, by waiting ~3-5 minutes before allowing the power to enter your appliance. However, in case you urgently need to use the appliance and cannot wait 3-5 minutes, then you can press the bypass button to override the power on delay protection. We hope this helps!

  19. Herminia Manimtim

Thanks for your prompt and helpful response. I want to be sure if my AVR PVE 1000 is sufficient for my Beko Refrigerator model RDNT360E20VZX. If not, pls recommend the more appropriate avr model. Thanks again.

    • Panther Support

Good day! Kindly provide us with the power consumption of your refrigerator (in amps), and we can then provide a recommended AVR. Thank you!

  24. Tim Garcia

I just bought this but the cable is too short. I have an existing panther voltage surge protector PSP-1102.

Can i plug this avr to the extension cord that is directly connected to the wall socket? Or do i plug the extension cord to the avr that is directly connected to the wall socket?

    • Panther Support

Good day! Both options work. We have laid out the pros and cons of each approach below:

Setup 1: Outlet > AVR > Extension Cord
      – Pros: All appliances plugged into the extension cord will have its voltage regulated 24/7, since the power source passes through the AVR first before reaching the extension cord then the appliance
      – Cons: Make sure the appliances plugged into the extension cord does NOT exceed 1000W (incl. startup power motor consumption), since that’s the maximum capacity of the AVR.

Setup 2: Outlet > Extension Cord > AVR
      – Pros: You can plug in other appliances into the extension cord. Max capacity of extension cord is 2500W (incl. startup power motor consumption)
      – Con: Only appliances plugged into the AVR will enjoy the 24/7 voltage regulation

      We hope this helps!

  25. Ron

Hi, Can a PVE-1000 handle a Samsung rt20farvdsa refrigerator. Thanks!

    • Panther Support

Good day! Kindly check the power consumption specifications of the Samsung RT20FARVDSA Refrigerator. Please provide us with the ampere consumption, and voltage. We can then help check if PVE 1000 will be sufficient. For example: if the ampere of your refrigerator is less than 1.4A at 230V, then PVE-1000 would suffice. We hope this helps!

  26. Arnel

Hi, can I use this for my inverter refrigerator non-frost?
    Rated Voltage: AC 220-240V
    Rated Current 1.4A
    Defrost Input: 150-179Watts
    Def Element Input: 150-179Watts

    • Panther Support

Good day! We would recommend either a PVE 1001 D, or a PVE 1500 D for your non-frost inverter refrigerator.
Note that a power-on-delay is recommended for refrigerators as they are especially vulnerable to voltage surges post-power outage.
Likewise, given the power consumption specification you’ve provided (1.4A at 240V), a 1500 Watts AVR could be safer depending on the voltage situation in your area.

      Product Links:
      – PVE 1001 D: https://panther.ph/product/pve-1001-d-relay-type-avr/
      – PVE 1500 D: https://panther.ph/product/pve-1500-d-relay-type-avr/

      We hope this helps!

  27. Neil

Hi I bought PVE-1000 i use it to my personal computer. After few days i notice a static sound inside once in while. Is it normal?

    • Panther Support

Good day! Could you take a video of the AVR as it emits the static sound so we can conduct an audio-visual assessment? Please send the video to wecare.panther@gmail.com . Thank you, we look forward to serving you!

  28. David

  29. Dawn Superable

hi! I just purchased from shoppee an avr worth 7,500 is it enough for a Carrier Aircon 1hp? we have a low power supply at home around 180. i just consulted a technician and advised me to get a avr with atleast 220. is the avr i purchased enough? i hope to hear your answer asap so i can make necessary corrections on what type of avr to buy. godbless

    • Panther Support

Good day! Kindly provide us with the rated current (in Amperes) of your aircon, so we can provide a more informed recommendation on your AVR requirements. We hope this helps!

  30. Dawn Superable

    Hi it’s Cooling Capacity:
    6,500-10,500 kJ/hr • Power Consumption: 650-1,500 Watts
    SEER: 13.4 kJ/W-hr

    • Panther Support

Good day! Thank you for providing this information. Depending on the ampere rating of the aircon, you can consider either the PVE 2001 D or the PVR 2000. However, we advise checking with your AC supplier for their recommended AVR capacity as well to be sure.

  31. Red Apdian

Good evening! I’d like to inquire about my Panther AVR PVE-1001. I’ve had my AVR for a week now, and I’m using it for my monitor and system unit (computer). Why does the output voltage display 238. Is it normal?

    • Panther Support

Good day! To help assess, could you provide us with additional information? How long does the output voltage display 238V? Is it only for a second, before the value changes, or does it stay at 238V? Looking forward to your response!

  32. Jhonas

Hi, I have a PVE 1001 avr relay type. is it safe to use to a laptop with 300w 4.5A charger?

    • Panther Support

Good day, for a standard computer/laptop setup, the PVE 1001 should work well with it. However, the 4.5A rating seems very high for a laptop. Kindly check and make sure these specifications are correct, just so we can be sure with our recommendation as well. Thank you!

  33. Cristian

Good day. Thank you

    • Panther Support

Good day! Yes po, that’s normal. The Panther PVE regulates the voltage to ensure it’s within an acceptable voltage range so your Gaming PC and monitor are protected. We hope this helps!

  34. Andrew

Is the output voltage suppose to be steady, Mine fluctuates when other electronics are turned on or off. I thought it would hold the output voltage steady.

    • Panther Support

Good day! As the PVE 1000/PVE 1001 utilizes relay-type technology, expect the response time to occur within 1 second against +/-7% input voltage deviation. This provides sufficient protection for less sensitive appliance (such as TV, refrigerator etc). We hope this helps!

  35. Ray

Hello. I’m using a panther avr 1001-D for an inverter ref with the following specs:
    Rated power input: 77 W
    Rated voltage: 230 V
    Rated current : 0.53 A
    Rated frequency: 60 Hz
    Energy consumption: 0.74 kWh/24h

    Is this okay?

I also noticed that the voltage displayed on the avr would range from 230-236, and sometimes it will change a few times within this range over a few seconds. Is this normal?

    • panther admin

Good day! Thank you for reaching out to us! Yes, the PVE 1001 D is appropriate for your inverter refrigerator given the specifications you’ve provided. A voltage display of 230-236V is also normal, as it takes ~1 second for the relay type AVR to regulate the voltage supply to your refrigerator. We hope this answers your question! Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any other questions for us!

  36. Hermeraldo .M. Catubig, Jr.

    • panther admin

Good day! Yes, you may certainly use it for your laptop, computer and wifi. Just make sure the max power consumption of the plugged-in devices does not exceed the 1000 Watts max. power capacity of the AVR. We hope this helps!

  39. Jef Revilla

Yesterday i bought the Panther PVR-1501 from handy man and the voltage output is ranging from 203 to 218, it is not maintining 220 volts according to the digital output voltage, is it normal or should i get it checked?

    • panther admin

Good day Jef! For relay type AVR this is normal and it depends on the input voltage from your main outlet. It has +/- 7% output deviation but don’t worry it will not harm your appliance. We hope it helps.

  40. Andrew

I have PVE 500 D AVR and there’s a buzzing or static sound while the meter is flickering. Is this normal?
